Installing Citrix...

If you need to access Citrix from a computer that does not already have Citrix software installed, here are directions for installing Citrix.  (Make sure you have permission to install software on the computer you are using.) This will install a program called the Program Neighborhood and it will also be preconfigured to connect to the Take Stock in Children Citrix server.

If you have a previous version of Citrix installed, call the Take Stock in Children Director of Information Technology for assistance.

  1. CLICK HERE to download the Citrix software called TSICCitrixInstall.exe. For installation on a 64-bit machine running Windows XP 64, Windows Vista 64, or Windows 7 64-Bit CLICK HERE to download Citrix64BitFiles.exe.
  2. If you are asked to run the software or save it, click SAVE.
  3. Save the file to a location on your computer where you can find it once it is downloaded.
  4. After the download is complete, open the folder you saved the file to and then run the file by double clicking on it.
  5. It will ask to unzip files to C:\TSICCitrixInstall. You can change this location if you want.
  6. Click on the Unzip button.
  7. Open the C:\TSICCitrixInstall folder (or wherever you unzipped the files to).
  8. Click on the file called CLICK HERE FIRST!.bat
  9. Once installation is complete, you will see a new icon called Program Neighborhood.
  10. Open Program Neighborhood.
  11. In Program Neighborhood you will see an icon called Take Stock Citrix.
  12. Right click on that icon and select Create Desktop Shortcut.
  13. You're done! Whenever you want to connect to Take Stock's Citrix server, just double click the icon on your desktop.

If you have installed the above version of Citrix and are having a problem with your printer not showing up in your session, you may need to uninstall your Citrix installation and reinstall using an older version. Some forms of McAffee and Norton Antivirus suites appear to be blocking printers on computers using newer Citrix clients. Use this Citrix client software instead.
