Database Reference Guide

 Install the Take Stock Database...

These steps will install Citrix software that is preconfigured to connect to the Take Stock in Children database. This installation is designed for computers that do not already have Citrix software installed.

1. If you are running Windows XP or Vista CLICK HERE to download the file called TSICDatabase.exe. However if you are running a 64-bit operating system like many new computers are (e.g. Windwows Vista x64, or Windows 7 64-bit version CLICK HERE to download Citrix64BitDatabaseFiles.exe.
2. If you are asked to run the software or save it, click SAVE.
3. Save the file to a location on your computer where you can find it once it is downloaded.
4. After the download is complete, open the folder you saved the file to and then run the file by double clicking on it.
5. It will ask to unzip files to C:\TSICdbInstall. You can change this location if you want.
6. Click on the Unzip button.
7. Open the C:\TSICdbInstall folder (or wherever you unzipped the files to).
8. Click on the file called CLICK HERE FIRST!.bat
9. Once installation is complete, you will see a new icon called Program Neighborhood.
10. Open Program Neighborhood.
11. In Program Neighborhood you will see an icon called Take Stock Database.
12. Right click on that icon and select Create Desktop Shortcut.
13. You're done! Whenever you want to connect to Take Stock's database, just double click the icon on your desktop.
